Two-Day Itinerary Bandung
Two-Day Itinerary Bandung
Bandung is the capital city of West Java, and the third largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta and Surabaya. Nicknamed Parijs van Java (Paris of Java) by the Dutch for its resemblance to Paris and European atmosphere back in colonial times, Bandung also earned another nickname as Kota Kembang, literally meaning the Flower City since Bandung used to have a lot of flowers.
Being located at the altitude of 768m and surrounded by the lush and beautiful Parahyangan mountains makes the climate mild and pleasant. The city has been well known for its universities, fashionable clothing and as a great place for gastronomic adventure. Nowadays, Bandung has become a very popular weekend escape for Jakartans, who would crowd the city on weekends and national holidays.

Two-Day Itinerary Bandung
Day 1
We Left Jakarta in a rental car around 7:30 AM, and reached Bandung at 9:45 AM.
The travel should take you about 2 and half to 3 hours with light traffic.
Tip: Start early to beat traffic.
Shop at Rumah Mode Factory Outlet, Bandung
First Stop, Factory outlet in Bandung.
There are Many Factory Outlets in Kota Bandung. Rumah Mode is easy to navigate outlet with outlets for shoes, bag, clothes, snacks.
It has an eatery with small garden, for the bored husbands 😉
We Felt the prices were reasonable with almost all brand clothes available.
You can spend easily around 3-4 hours here.

Head to Lembang from Bandung center to,
Visit a stratovolacno Tangkuban Perahu, Lembang
No Visit to bandung is complete, without visiting Tangkuban Perahu. The name itself comes from the local legend. The legend is based upon a disobedient son, who kicks his boat upside-down and was then transformed into stone. Hence the name of this mountain. Tangkuban flipped and perahu boat.
It is still an active volcanic mountain, with recent activity in June 2019.
When you reach Tangkuban Perahu, the first thing you'll see is the main crater-Kawah Ratu. It has a side vent that emits some smoke. The scenery below the mountain is worth a visit.
You can trek down, to visit the second crater Kawah Domas, which is around 30 min hike journey from the top. But you will have to pay for the guide as you are not allowed to do it on your own. Here you can see mud bubbling, or buy an egg boiled on the hot spring.
Tip : It starts to rain without notice, so carry a raincoat and umbrella, so that u can wait for the clouds to pass, to have a clear view of the crater.

Watch it on youtube here:
Have some local delicacies at the Lembang Floating Market
Food Vendors sell delicacies on boat, for you to enjoy.
There are also other attractions like the Rainbow Garden, Kota Mini etc.
You will get a complementary coffee for your ticket and can walk around in the garden, or pet rabbits.

Drink Strawberry milk at Farmhouse susu, Lembang
Susu in Indonesian is Milk.
Farmhouse susu is a theme park with European-style buildings, Dutch costumes for rent, and a mini zoo for kids.
Your entrance ticket includes a complementary milk drink.
Take fun pictures with the European themed cobbled streets, and buy souvenirs.

Day 2
We left early to ciwidey, from Lembang as it is almost a 2-hour drive.
The scenery en-route is beautiful, as you travel up the hills.
Feed and pet some deer at Ranca Upas
There is an option to pitch your tent at night as well, in Ranca Upas, but that is a whole new experience altogether.
You can feed the deer, which roam freely in Ranca Upas, have a swim and play in water-park. Or just run around with the deer, don't forget to get a pair of mud-boots, or rent a set, if you are visiting in rainy season.

Indulge in some hot tea and boat ride at Situ Patengan Lake
With Beautiful Tea plantations, all around, this lake is a small piece of heaven.
You can just sit and watch the beauty, with some friend snacks and tea.
Or take a boat ride along the lake and experience the cool, calm scenery.

Dip Your Feet at a Hot Spring
There are many Hot Springs at Ciwidey, where you can take a dip, or wet your feet.
Be sure to take extra pair of clothes if you plan to take a dip.
We Skipped swimming, because there were too many people in the pool.

Explore the White Crater at Ciwidey
Kawah Putih or white crater is one of the two craters which make up Mount Patuha, a stratovolcano. Kawah Putih crater lake itself represents a relatively stable volcanic system with no records of significant activity since around 1600.
The Visit time recommended is around 15 minutes, as the strong sulfur odor may create difficulties in breathing for some people.
The scenic lake changes color according to temperature and climate, and is a great backdrop for some beautiful pictures.
