The Wife Between Us - Book Review
Book : The Wife Between Us
Author - Greer Hendricks
Sarah Pekkanen
Genre Thriller
My rating : 4/5
Plot summary:
When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.
You are also going to assume that she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love.
You may assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Assume nothing.
Twisted and deliciously chilling, Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen's The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.
Read between the lies.
Thoughts:
The part one seems plain narration of two parallel stories until you come to last page of chapter one. Without spoiling the story for those who haven't yet read it, i can say that the twist by end end of part one makes you rethink the whole part you just read. Now that you know the twist, you read part two differently, expecting more twists, except there are not many twists but just series of events. But then, when you think the good is good and bad is bad, part three throws in another plot twist and now u think of part two again...was it different ? was it why that incident happened etc.
It was a page turner, and even though in-between i felt similarities in events to few other books i have read, i liked the last twist !! It changed my perception of the book again. I have had mixed feelings through out my read of the book.
A good read if you like thrillers.
